Lofos Strani

Two kilometres away from Zakynthos city, we arrive at Strani Hill.

This is were our National Poet Dionisios Solomos, who ispired from canonnades in Mesologgi, wrote our National Greek Anthem. In the small square, where nowadys dominates the bust of Dionisios Solomos, used to be the tree in the shade of which our National wrote the Anthem to the Freedom.

The mansion of Solomos is found at a short distance on the top of the Hill. The beauty of the landscape and the splendid view us will help us understand how these elemenst inspired National poet and helped him create these splendid works.
