Description

In the village of Kampi, in the top of the rock of Shiza, dominates a huge Cross that was built in the memory of those who lost their life in the times of Bondage. From that point the view is astonishing and it worths we rest in one of the small cafes or restaurants of the area, and enjoy the sunset.

The village has very few permanent residents but a lot of visitors especially during the summertime. The architecture of the village is mountainous, with the main characteristic being the narrow streets and the made of stone houses.

In the area we may visit also the Mycenaean cemetery.
The existence of this cemetery together with other discoveries of the Mycean times, is a proof of the impotant past of the island also in the Pre-historic times.
